Obstacle Course Robot

In Carnegie Mellon's Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering course, my team and I programmed a mini Arduino robot to use IR and ultrasonic sensors to traverse the obstacle course shown below. We used Ansys Discovery to perform finite element analysis to optimize the aerodynamic shield on the front of the robot to reduce drag in a simulated steam tunnel. We also used SOLIDWORKS to design a 3D printed servo mount that was used to open a valve at the end of the course.
