Camping Chair

In Carnegie Mellon’s Mechanics II: 3D Design course, my team and I were tasked with building a bear resistant camping chair. After performing consumer interviews, we determined that the most important features in our camping chair were that it was affordable, compact, easy to transport, and structurally sound in the face of natural elements. We created a CAD model of our design and performed hand calculations and FEA analysis. After confirming the validity of our design, we successfully executed it.
